If you think about suicide

suicide
If you feel suicidal, stop to read what follows. It will only take you five minutes. I do not want to dissuade you from the reality of your pain. I do not speak here as someone who knows what suffering means.

I do not know who you are or why you read this page. I only know that at this moment, you read it, and that’s a good thing. I can assume that you are here because you suffer and you think to end your life. If possible, I’d rather be with you at this moment sit down with you and talk face to face and open heart. But since this is not possible, do it by means of this page.

I knew a number of people who wanted to kill himself. I myself was in this case. So I thought of what you can feel. I know you are not able to read a big book, so I’ll be brief. While we are here together for the next five minutes, I have five things simple, practical, and to tell you that I share with you. I will not argue whether you should be killed or not. I just think that if you think you have to really suffer.

Well, you still reading this text, and it is very good. I ask you to stay with me until the end of this page. I hope this means you are at least somewhat uncertain, deep somewhere inside you, whether or not you’re really going to end your life. It often feels that, even in the deepest darkness of despair. Being in doubt concerning his death, it’s normal. The fact that you are still alive at this minute means you are still a little uncertain. This means that while you want to die at the same time, a part of yourself wants to continue to live. Let us stick to that and continue a few more minutes.

Teacher’s Role

The role of a teacher in society is both significant and valuable. It has far-reaching influence on the society he lives in and no other personality can have an influence more profound than that of a teacher. Students are deeply affected by the teacher’s love and affection, his character, his competence, and his moral commitment. A popular teacher becomes a model for his students. The students try to follow their teacher in his manners, costumes, etiquette, style of conversation and his get up. He is their ideal.

He can lead them anywhere. During their early education, the students tend to determine their aims in life and their future plans, in consultation with their teachers. Therefore, a good and visionary teacher can play a prominent role in making the future of his students while as a corrupt teacher can only harm his students much more seriously than a class of corrupt and perverted judiciary, army, police, bureaucracy, politicians or technocrats. A corrupt and incompetent teacher in not only a bad individual, but also an embodiment of a corrupt and incompetent generation. A nation with corrupt teachers is a nation at risk; every coming day announces the advent of its approaching destruction.

The importance of a teacher as an architect of our future generations demands that only the best and the most intelligent and competent members of our intelligentsia be allowed to qualify for this noble profession. It is unfortunate to find that generally the worst and the most incapable people of the society find their way into this profession. Anyone who fails to find an opening in any other walk of life, gets into this profession and recklessly plays with the destiny of the nation. An important reason for this is understood to be the poor salaries of our primary and secondary teachers which are no better than that of clerks. A large number of our teachers is , therefore, frustrated and disinterested.

They have to go for part-time jobs to meet their basic needs. Again, the teaching profession also does not enjoy due respect in the society. The primary and secondary teachers are particularly at a disadvantage. Their status is lower than that of doctors, engineers, advocates, civil servants; even lower than that of semi literate and illiterate traders. It would therefore require great commitment for an intelligent individual, however fond of education and training he may be, to forsake the career of a doctor or engineer in favour of teaching. Therefore, while selecting good teachers, it must be borne in mind that better opportunities, prospects and perks are offered to the teachers.

When we speak of good teachers it means that a teacher must be a model of faith and piety and should have a fairly good knowledge . A teacher should consider it his duty to educate and train his students and should feel responsible for it. He should feel that his students have been entrusted to him and he should avoid any breach of the trust the society has reposed in him. He should be a sociable person with his roots in the society. People should take him as their well-wisher and a sincere friend who cares for their children. It should be ascertained at all cost that a candidate for this profession has a natural acumen and aptitude for teaching.

He should actively participate in the social activities in a positive way. He should know the art of teaching with a deep insight into child psychology. He should always deal with the students in a just manner. He should not lose his self-control on mistakes his students may commit, and instead he should respect their feelings and ego, and should try to understand and resolve their difficulties with grace while keeping his cool. He should be able to smile in the face of bitter criticism on his opinions, and should not feel ashamed or humiliated to accept his mistakes wholeheartedly.

He should be proud of his culture, his national dress and his national language. He should be a missionary, a mentor, a reformer and a guide besides being a dedicated tutor. In other words, he should be a perfect teacher and a perfect educationist.
While highlighting the role of a teacher in the society, it is imperative to involve the role of parents, too, in the process of character building of the students. In the past, parents and teachers both used to make the best of their efforts to provide an atmosphere to their children congenial to the development of higher virtues and morals. But the gross social change over the last fifty years, large scale urbanization, ruthless competition for financial gains, and heavy preoccupation in everyday life deplete all time and energy from the parents, leaving behind little time or energy for them to monitor their children.

Whatever time they have at their disposal is consumed by newspapers, television and other recreations. As a result, the younger generation hardly gets any opportunity to share ideas with their elders or to enter into a meaningful discussion. On the other hand, this idea is gaining ground among us that education is not meant to build up better human beings, but only to get better jobs. Consequently, the student’s minds are obsessed with better jobs and dreams for higher social status. It is,therefore, duty of the parents, too, to take active interest in the day-to-day progress of their children both in and outside the institution and apprise them of the real meaning of education.

Never Giving Up!!!

At the end of each day, when I lay my head on my pillow, regardless of what happened during the course of the day, I know I’ve had it pretty easy. I know I can wake up in the morning and I’ll still have that roof over my head, I’ll still be at my home, I’ll still have that food in the fridge, and I’ll still be alive.

I cannot complain because there are billions of people around the world who cannot get any food, cannot get clean water, don’t have shelter, don’t have any semblance of security because there are people shooting each other for seemingly no reason, taking their kids, killing their parents. They have problems; we have minor inconveniences. Yet they continue to fight, every single day, to stay alive. They maintain that hope, that belief, that if they keep fighting and striving, that maybe one day it will be better, it will be easier.

There are billions of people around this world who would do anything to be in my shoes, and your shoes, for just a day. Just one day. Just one chance. They would do anything to have the opportunities we have, to feel the security we feel, and to taste the freedom we can taste. Because while you and I are at the dinner table enjoying a meal we did not have to catch ourselves, someone else around the world is walking around in the coldness of the dark, looking for something (anything) to eat. While you and I are sitting on the couch watching the latest episode of our favourite program, someone else around the world is lying on the dirt floor of their mud-hut waiting for the sunshine to come. And while you and I are contemplating whether or not we should get out of bed in the frosty morning weather, someone else around the world is already up working the field because that is all that will keep them warm.

Right now you might be sitting at your desk at home, at a computer lab at school, at work, or wherever, and you look around and see all that you ever need to do something with your life. There is nothing to complain about; you have everything at your disposal to achieve all your goals and dreams. You may not see it, but you need to. And compared to the billions of people living in poverty around the world, life isn’t too bad at all.

So how can you ever complain about anything? How can you ever give up in anything? How can you ever say your life is tough?

I can never give up because there are billions of people around the world who don’t give up. I have no right to give up when a child wakes up everyday to severe poverty, not knowing where his breakfast might come from, or even if he will have any breakfast, or lunch, or dinner. Yet he wakes up anyway. Hopeful that with every passing day, with every passing hour, it is an hour, and a day that will move him closer to a better life.

Billions of people around the world wake up to this situation, and never give up; I can never give up. I have no right to give up. You can never give up. It would be an insult to the millions of unknown strugglers if I were to even contemplate the thought of giving up. I could have easily been with them, rather than where I am now. I could have been in their position, and they could be walking in my shoes, with the abundance of opportunities at my fingertips. I owe it to them, to show them what is possible, and to show them that their strength, and their will, and their determination to survive and to strive is a force that will take them to their dreams. I will never give up because they will never give up. And you should never give up.

And when I wake up in the morning I will have a smile on my face. I will smile not just because I am alive in these times, and in this place, but because I can do incredible things with my life. And so can you. Choose to look at life as an opportunity to fulfill your dreams, and in doing so help others to fulfil their dreams as well. Look at all your supposed problems as opportunities to learn and to grow. View each mistake as one you had to make to learn the lessons necessary to move you closer to your dreams. Think about all the possibilities in your life, and all the opportunities, and take advantage of them now, today, because tomorrow there will be even more available.

You can achieve anything and everything you set your mind to, so long as you can see all the possibilities available to you.

How To Improve Your Spoken English

In one day, I asked my english teacher about how should I do to improve my spoken english. So, here is what my teacher was said to me what she feels can improve my english skills.

In my second thought, I stated thinking about it and realized that I was lucky to be born in Indonesian family. I got english since I was 8 years old. I only ever heard my private teacher speak to my family and me in English. Hence fluency in the language just came naturally to me. I only picked up Indonesian as my mother-language once I started schooling.

A lot of people don’t have such a family environment. The first language they learn is their mother tongue. The next will be Indonesian, if they are based in Southeast Asia. Then when they reach school they finally learn English as the third language. In Indonesia the third language is English, which is the reason why despite accent trouble they are much more comfortable speaking in English.

At last, here are a few tips that I have collected from my teacher to help improve my Spoken English and yours as well.

  • Get comfortable with the language. Read for 20 minutes in English. It can be a newspaper, a short story, a poem, or even a novel. In other words, make yourself as your own mother-language.
  • Develop your written language. If you don’t have the requisite vocabulary you won’t be able to communicate.
  • Start Speaking. Try out your spoken English on anyone who will be able to respond to you. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes. If necessary, you can also try to record your speaking by some recordable devices to make sure that you has able to speak fluently. Listen to your voice and catch your pronunciation mistakes. Make a deliberate effort to avoid them.
  • Keep your ears open for the accent. Watch the English news on Television. Watch BBC for the British Accent, Cinema in English, and much more.
  • Grammar is important. The parts of speech, tenses, form of verb, articles and modals all contribute to fluency. Make an effort to learn them daily.
  • Make the Dictionary your best friend. To date I head for it when confronted with a new word. Familiarize yourself with its meaning and use it in a sentence that very day.
  • Start writing a Diary or you can also make an online diary as a blog. It will allow you to practice the language in a totally non threatening environment. Write one entry of at least 100 words everyday.

Consequently your Spoken English will improve, but not if you are lacking in commitment. It’s all very well to be pumped up today about learning the language and forgetting all about it tomorrow.

Always remember the skills involved in any language are Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. Any single one can’t be developed in isolation.

What’s your motivation for keep alive? Too many questions? I believe that you must be have a core values, the most important thing in your life destination.

Honestly, first time when I knew about online business, I didn’t know any of the above answer. I had a blurry image of someone successful, but I didn’t know how to start it. I searched as many tips and guide that scattered in internet as I could which sometimes was a challenge as I was a senior high school student.

So what I need to do to build a solid foundation for my business with ME as my own BOSS?

First of all, I must decide what kind of business I want to run. When it has decided, I need someone to train me the basics and explain the skills I need to develop. In this case, my Sensei has an important role in my premier development.

As I am a student, some books is also become my reference. There, I got some useful information instead Sensei’s guidance. I also use recordable devices to record my feelings, my passions, dreams and goals. EXPECT all of my desires to come true. Then I put in the activity – be under no illusion, this is a busy business. I need to talk to people every day!

At last, I only give it for one year to build. I will never give up, I will never quit although I have some bad experiences. No problem, it’s just a part of life. Embrace personal development and face my inner fear, antiexy.

Expect to change and know that change can be painful but that it is always worth it. My experience is that people who really and truly embrace the above, reap more rewards and benefits at the end, in all areas of their life than they could have hoped for.

DECIDE – what kind of business you want
EMBRACE – personal development and expect your life to change
BELIEVE – Just believe in yourself, “I can do it.”
STICK-TO-IT! – Be strong. I gave it one year.
